Who We Are & Why We're Here
Welcome to Friends of Cincinnati Animal CARE! We exist for one reason – to support Cincinnati Animal CARE (CAC) in ensuring that the needs of Hamilton County’s shelter animals are met, no matter what.
Donations made through Friends of CAC are tax-deductible, and every dollar donated supplements what the county budgets annually to run shelter and dog warden/animal control operations. While the county’s funding covers the basics, we all know that basic services are just the starting point. In a caring community like ours, much more needs to be provided beyond the bare minimum required under Ohio law.
We are here to provide that much-needed extra support, ensuring that those working daily in our county shelter can consistently go above and beyond in caring for homeless animals. Whether it’s funding vital life-saving programs or securing new medical equipment that can mean the difference between life and death for an injured animal, we help CAC’s dedicated team respond to those needs.
